Try going to a friend's house where Digital TV Freeview is already working and plug into their aerial for testing. In my case I hadn't selected the right local DVB-T transmitter group when running the 'scan' utility from dvb-apps, or running Kaffeine [Tvtime was just crashing every time I launched it]. For this reason I was getting no channels at all. Using Kaffeine, I needed to configure under 'Television' and select the Winter Hill transmitter, not Lancaster, even though I have a Lancaster postcode.
The card relies on the dvb-usb-dibp module I think. At least it reports itself as a DiB to the 'lsusb' tool. You can prove your card is recognised by running the following from a Terminal console Instead try choosing different transmitter groups within Kaffeine. I'll try and move stuff over to the wiki. I have it working under Ubuntu since version No additional installs needed, works out of the box with TVH. I also tested the card under Gentoo. Works out of the box with TVH and no problems occured so far.

Works fine so far with the newest driver in combination with TVHeadend 3. Tvheadend will only work with one of the frontend at a time, I have only tried out the DVB-T2 frontend and it looks nice. Very good and stable tuners with excellent sensivity.
Note that the driver must compiled manually because it isn't at this time part of the linux kernel. Genpix Skywalker-II works great out of the box. No issues whatsoever and gets qpsk and 8psk. Does others as well of course, but those are the two I use.
